Bedroom Types

Shared Bedroom (Community Bath)

Shared bedrooms with community bathrooms are the most common type of housing. Almost all first-year students will live in this style of housing for their first year. This style is found in Carson, Conrad, Gordis, Hollis, Houses A - E, Nemec, and Smith residence halls.

Individual Bedrooms (Community Bath)

Individual bedrooms with community bathrooms are available in Nemec Hall. A limited number are also available in Conrad and Smith residence halls.

Shared Bedroom (Suite/Private Bath & Houses)

Shared bedrooms with suite-style bathrooms are found in Chaudoin, Emily, Houses 1 - 7, House F, and University Hall. In University Hall, the bathroom is shared just among the residents in the room. All of our houses have shared bedrooms.

Individual Bedrooms (Suite/Private Bath)

Almost all rooms in Hatter Hall are individual bedrooms with a suite bathroom. Additionally, a limited number of individual bedrooms with suites or private bathrooms are available in Chaudoin, Emily, University Hall, and Nemec residence halls. 

Shared Bedroom (Apartments)

Stetson Cove, Stetson Oaks, Stetson Palms, and several traditional residence halls have one-bedroom units shared by two students. Additionally, Stetson Oaks Apartments has some two-bedroom units with shared bedrooms as well. The semester rental rate for apartments includes the winter break housing period. Should a resident assigned to an apartment wish to remain on campus for part or all of the winter break period, they will not be charged an additional winter break housing fee.

Individual Bedrooms (Apartments)

The University Village Apartments (U.V.A.) complex primarily offers four-bedroom, two-bathroom units (Hon, 300, Lynn and Rinker Halls) with a limited number of two-bedroom, two-bathroom units (Maxcy Hall). Stetson Cove primarily offers two-bedroom, one-bathroom units, some spaces have an additional half-bath (Buildings 1 and 3). Stetson Oaks offers some two-bedroom apartments with one bathroom for three students (Buildings 2).  The semester rental rate for apartments includes the winter break housing period. Should a resident assigned to an apartment wish to remain on campus for part or all of the winter break period, they will not be charged an additional winter break housing fee.

$145 a week (Sunday - Saturday), entire Summer $2,030 upon approval

Rates for Winter Break 

$580 flat rate (Fall Closing through Spring Opening) upon approval

Rates for Early Arrival

$100 a day upon approval

Rates for Late Stay

$50 a day upon approval

Residential Damage Fees

After a resident checks out of an assigned space within the residential buildings, the Resident Assistant and/or Residential Life Coordinator will complete a walkthrough of the space noting any damages.  Damages may include physical damages to the residential room, suite or apartment and/or failure of a resident to complete the required checkout procedures.  The resident(s) will be notified via email of the damages and the associated charge(s) will be placed on the resident(s) accounts.  Below is a list of the most common damages assessed upon a resident checkout.

Damage Fee Description
Improper Checkout $100 Failure to complete all checkout procedures and return residential keys.
Excessive Cleaning $25 - $50 Fee varies based on the time required to clean the space.
Abandoned Property $40 per Bag Fee is assessed per trash bag required to remove belongings.
Furniture Reset $25 per Item Fee is assessed per furniture item that must be reset within the space, including the de-lofting bed.
Lost Keys Varies by Building Please see the Lock Change Fee Chart for pricing based on location.
Paint Wall  $75 per Wall Fee is assessed per wall that requires painting.
