In its first year the Stetson Men performed across Central
Florida and received many invitations for the coming year. The
Men rehearse Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:30 to 12:50. Like
all of the choral ensembles at Stetson, the Men come from a variety of
backgrounds and have bright futures in any number of career paths, including
music. They perform academic choral music from all
stylistic periods, but also enjoy Broadway tunes, barbershop quartets,
humorous songs, sea shanties, cowboy songs, and many other styles. Recent
concert repertoire has included works by Frank Ferko, Vijay Singh, Rollo
Dilworth, Mack Wilberg, and Handel, in addition to segments from Man of La
Manchaand music from the Russian a
cappella tradition. Their
conductor is Dr. Larson and anyone is invited to sit in rehearsals.
Please contact Dr. Larson if you are
interested in joining (alarson@stetson.edu).
The brief audition is painless!
