School of Music

Performances across Central Florida, including a collaboration on Beethoven's Mass in C Major and recordings for Santa Barbara Music Publishing marked their third year. For the academic year 2009-2010 Men will rehearse Monday and Wednesday from Noon to 1:05 and Tuesday and Thursday from 1PM to 2:15. Like all of the choral ensembles at Stetson, the Men come from a variety of backgrounds and have bright futures in any number of career paths, including music. They perform academic choral music from all stylistic periods, but also enjoy Broadway tunes, barbershop quartets, humorous songs, sea shanties, cowboy songs, and many other styles.Recent concert repertoire has included works by Frank Ferko, Vijay Singh, Rollo Dilworth, Mack Wilberg, and Handel, in addition to segments from Man of La Mancha and music from the Russian a cappella tradition.Anyone is invited to sit in rehearsals. Please contact Dr. Durow or Dr. Larson if you are interested in joining (pdurow@stetson.edu, alarson@stetson.edu).The brief interview and vocal range check are painless!
