Major, Minor and Courses
A marketing major must complete 21 hours in Marketing courses, including 15 required hours and six hours of electives. Principles of Marketing is a prerequisite to all required and elective courses. Principles of Marketing is an introduction to the decision-making concepts and processes used in developing effective marketing programs for consumer and industrial goods and services.
Other courses include Consumer Behavior, Marketing Research, Professional Selling and Channels and Physical Distribution. Marketing majors also study global marketing, advertising and promotions management and marketing management.
