Heralded as "outstanding, seductive, satisfyingly rich and full" by the Daytona Beach News Journal, The Stetson University Guitar Ensemble is comprised of the scholarship students of Dr. Stephen Robinson, Professor of Guitar at Stetson University. Performances include various combinations of guitars, as well as guitars with other instruments, and are given regularly on campus and in the surrounding communities. The Guitar Program, founded by Robinson in 1983, is recognized as one of the foremost undergraduate guitar programs in the United States. In addition to his teaching, Robinson maintains an active performing and recording career as a soloist and chamber musician, and is founding director of the renowned Stetson International Guitar Workshop.
