Emily Hall

Built in 1955 and renovated in 2005, Emily Hall is a residence hall for returning and transfer students. This building houses 220 residents in shared-occupancy rooms, with suite-style bathrooms shared between every two rooms. Residents of Emily Hall may request gender-neutral living arrangements. Common areas include study rooms, lounges, laundry facilities and a kitchen. Emily Hall has a resident assistant (R.A.) on every floor that helps students by providing opportunities to develop deep and meaningful relationships not just with their roommates, but with members of the entire building.

The Wellness Living-learning Community is for students who want to lead healthy lifestyles. Students in the Wellness L.L.C. learn about health and wellness from a holistic standpoint that emphasizes physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, social and academic well-being. Partners from the Office of Health and Wellness and related academic programs work with the residents to promote these lifestyles in their lives and around campus.

This option allows for persons of any gender to share common spaces within apartment-style housing allowing for growth and personal reflection without the stereotypical gender boundaries of traditional on-campus housing options. This offering provides less-gendered environments similar to ones you would find in off-campus apartments or personal homes.
