NSF S-STEM Scholarship

Stetson University has been awarded a prestigious National Science Foundation (NSF) S-STEM Grant, allowing us to offer 12 incoming first-year students up to $15,000 per year toward their studies in STEM majors.

This scholarship is designed for high-achieving students who demonstrate both academic excellence and financial need. To qualify, you must have a minimum 3.5 weighted GPA, be Pell Grant eligible, and enroll at Stetson University in an approved STEM major within the Life Sciences, Math and Computer Science, Physical and Chemical Sciences, or Field Science.

Students selected for the NSF S-STEM Scholarship will receive:

  • A renewable scholarship for up to four years of undergraduate study
  • A cohort-based experience with other NSF Scholars
  • Personalized mentoring and advising
  • Opportunities for STEM-related events, research, and community outreach
  • And much more!

Eligible applicants are U.S. citizens or permanent residents who:

  1. Complete the NSF S-STEM Scholarship Application.
  2. Apply to Stetson University through either the Stetson Application or the Common App.
  3. Submit your FAFSA, ensuring both student and parent/guardian portions are completed. Be sure to add Stetson University to your FAFSA using the code 001531.
