Chi Sigma Iota Honor Society
Chi Sigma Iota (CSI) is an international honor society that values academic and professional excellence in counseling. We promote a strong professional identity through members (professional counselors, counselor educators and students) who contribute to the realization of a healthy society by fostering wellness and human dignity.
Promoting Excellence in the Profession of Counseling
Our mission is to promote scholarship, research, professionalism, leadership, advocacy and excellence in counseling, and to recognize high attainment in the pursuit of academic and clinical excellence in the profession of counseling.
Alpha Omicron Chapter
Being a part of CSI incorporates social justice, professional development and social activities. The Alpha Omicron chapter of CSI, housed at Stetson University, welcomes applications from potential new members. Applicants must have completed at least six credit hours and have maintained a 3.5 GPA.
Interested in joining Chi Sigma Iota?
Once you meet the academic and credit hour requirements, you should receive an email from CSI leadership inviting you to join. This letter will contain instructions on how to register and pay the international dues ($50) with the CSI International Organization as well as how to pay our local chapter's one-time dues of $15.
The invitation is sent out during the Spring and Fall semesters and is followed by an induction ceremony in which you will become a member.
We always look forward to welcoming new members. You can learn more about the CSI mission by exploring the Chi Sigma Iota, Counseling Academic & Professional Honor Society International website.
