Your Residential Education Team

The Residential Education Team is made up of Assistant Directors (ADs) and Residential Life Coordinators (RLCs). Together, this team directly supervises 56 RAs, coordinate and participate in departmental initiatives including staff recruitment and training, educational and social events, housing operations, residential learning programs and learning initiatives; participates in the campus' after-hours on-call duty rotation; serves as a university hearing officer; maintains liaisons with staff members from a variety of offices and academic departments; and assists with other departmental committees and initiatives as assigned.

Your two Assistant Directors include the Assistant Director of Resident Success and Wellbeing and the Assistant Director of Recruitment, Training & Leadership who oversee RLCs and two residential clusters of the campus community.  They are experienced housing professionals who focus on larger department processes pertaining to RA recruitment, training and performance as well as student care and conduct concerns.

Your Residential Life Coordinator (RLC) is a full-time live-in professional staff member who possesses a Master's degree and is responsible for administering a residential program for an area of residence halls or apartment communities of approximately 300-600 residents. Their responsibilities include supervision, student development, and housing functions in an effort to provide a residential environment reflective of the University's values.
