Continuing Student Housing Application

Continuing students completing the Housing Application will be asked for some demographic information for our records and in case it is needed, life-habit information for roommate matching, your building preferences, and roommate preference (if you have one), and also includes the completion of the housing agreement.

Continuing student housing applications are available on November 1 on the Housing Central home page.

Students should complete their applications no later than March 1 if they wish to participate in the Housing Selection for Continuing Students, which is held in March.

Eligibility to participate in Housing Selection for the upcoming academic year will be based on Stetson's 3-Year Residency Requirement.

  • Students required to live on campus under Stetson's 3-Year Residency Requirement that submit the Housing Application by the Priority Deadline will be automatically entered into the Housing Selection for Continuing Students taking place in March.

  • Students who have satisfied the 3-year residency requirement and are no longer required to live on campus and who submit the Housing Application by the Priority Deadline will be added to a Housing Selection Waitlist in the order in which their Housing Application is received.  As space in the selection process becomes available, students from the waitlist will be notified that they and any students in their roommate group are eligible to participate in Housing Selection for Current Students taking place in March.

All continuing students who submit the Housing Application after the Priority Deadline of March 1 will be provided a housing assignment by Residential Living and Learning through the manual assignment process. Housing assignments are provided to students in priority order by Housing application submission date and earned credit hours and are based on housing preferences selected in the Housing Application, roommate groups, and space available in campus housing.

Students eligible to participate in Housing Selection for Continuing Students will receive detailed information and instructions for participating in Housing Selection taking place in March. During this process, students will be able to browse available rooms on campus and assign themselves and their preferred roommates (as space allows) to campus housing.

Students not eligible to participate in Housing Selection for Continuing Students will be assigned a space on campus by Residential Living & Learning after Room Selection ends.  These assignments will be provided to students over the course of the summer months as space on campus becomes available.  We are committed to housing all students who request to live on campus.

Residential Living & Learning offers supplemental applications in addition to the Housing Application. After submitting the Housing Application, students may submit a Request for Special/ADA Accommodation and/or Request for Animal-in-Residence.  Students who are seeking an exemption to the university residency requirement in order to live off-campus should submit the Request for Residency Exemption.
