Stetson University’s Department of Counselor Education recently celebrated the initiation of new members into Chi Sigma Iota (CSI) during the department’s annual holiday gathering.
Chi Sigma Iota, Counseling Academic and Professional Honor Society International, is an international honor society for the counseling profession with more than 176,000 members worldwide and more than 460 chapters. CSI recognizes outstanding academic achievement and a commitment to service within the counseling profession. Stetson’s Alpha Omicron Chapter supports student development through professional engagement and community-building activities. Students must complete at least six credit hours in their graduate program and maintain a 3.5 GPA to be eligible for membership.
The initiation ceremony for Stetson’s Alpha Omicron Chapter was held Dec. 6, 2025, at the Department's annual holiday party hosted by Professor Jesse Fox. Students, faculty, and guests gathered for an evening of connection and recognition, marking both the close of the semester and an important professional milestone for those initiated into CSI membership.
The Department of Counselor Education congratulates its newly inducted members and celebrates their continued growth as emerging counseling professionals.
