Stetson Counselor Education Celebrates 2025-26 Graduates
Graduates join Stetson’s growing alumni network of counseling professionals and leaders.
May 11, 2026
Stetson’s Department of Counselor Education celebrated its 2025-26 graduates at the May 9, 2026, commencement ceremony, recognizing students who completed degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling. Two Counselor Education graduates were also recognized with special roles during the commencement ceremony, including Alexandra Monde, who served as a Gonfalon bearer leading graduates into the ceremony, and Trinideé Mercado, who delivered a student address to the graduating class.
The graduating class reflects the department’s continued commitment to preparing counselors who are equipped to serve individuals, couples, families, and communities across a range of clinical and educational settings. Throughout their time at Stetson, graduates engaged in rigorous academic coursework, experiential learning, clinical training, supervision, research, and community engagement opportunities designed to support both professional identity development and excellence in counseling practice.
Faculty members recognized the resilience, compassion, and dedication demonstrated by graduates as they navigated demanding clinical training experiences while preparing to enter the counseling profession. Graduates completed practicum and internship experiences in schools, community agencies, hospitals, private practices, university counseling centers, and integrated behavioral health settings throughout Central Florida and beyond.
As graduates transition into professional counseling roles, advanced training opportunities, and licensure pathways, they also join Stetson’s growing alumni community of counselor educators, clinicians, supervisors, advocates, and leaders serving in diverse professional settings.
