LaValle Creative Arts Scholarship

The LaValle Scholarship is awarded to students like you who are devoted and disciplined in the creative arts, such as Studio Art, Digital Arts, Museum and Curatorial Studies or Theatre Arts. As a LaValle Scholar-Artist, you will be someone who has a real passion for developing your talent in a liberal arts setting. Your application will need to show that you have the potential to interpret the world around you and express that interpretation through your chosen art form. This scholarship covers full tuition and is available to first-year and transfer students.

You can only apply for one discipline, which should be the major you intend to pursue. Depending on your area of study, you will need to submit the following:

• Studio Art: Artist Statement, Letter of Intent and Portfolio
• Digital Arts: Artist Statement, Letter of Intent and Portfolio
• Museum and Curatorial Studies: Exhibition Review and Letter of Intent
• Theatre Arts: Artist Statement, Letter of Intent, and Portfolio (for design) OR a video audition (for performance)

Portfolios should include 3-8 examples of finished work, and Artist Statements should be 1-2 pages long. The application materials should also include a letter of intent reflecting on how the LaValle Creative Arts Scholarship would support your ability to pursue your artistic, creative, and educational goals.
