John Downey, PhD, is the Vice President of Campus Life and Student Success. Downey came to Stetson University in January of 2023 and leads a dedicated team at Stetson, poised to provide students with unparalleled support and opportunities for personal and academic growth. His vision encompasses a diverse array of initiatives aimed at fostering a vibrant campus community that promotes an enriched collegiate experience for all students.

Downey was previously the chief student affairs officer at Widener University, which was marked by proactive involvement in critical university initiatives, including crisis management, a COVID Task Force, and campus reopening efforts during the pandemic. Prior to his role at Widener, Downey served as Dean of Students at Queens University of Charlotte, where he honed his leadership skills over 16 years.  Downey holds a doctorate in higher educational leadership and policy studies from Indiana University and a master's degree in business administration from The College of New Jersey.

Larry R. Correll-Hughes, PhD, is the Associate Vice President for Campus Life. Correll-Hughes came to Stetson University in 2015 to lead the department of Residential Living and Learning before becoming the Assistant Vice President in January of 2017 and serving as Co-Interim Vice President from 2021 to 2022. Prior to working at Stetson, Larry worked in housing and residential life for over 10 years and developed a passion for student belonging and engagement and environments that facilitate and support community. He has a master of science in education degree in student services administration from Baylor University and a doctorate of philosophy in student affairs and higher education administration from the University of Georgia.

Correll-Hughes leads Stetson's DeLand emergency management team, student crisis response system, enrollment and transition initiatives for the CLaSS division. Areas directly under Dr. Correll-Hughes's oversight include:

Lynn Schoenberg, Ed.S., is the Associate Vice President for Campus Life and Student Success and Dean of Students. Schoenberg has been at Stetson University since 2007, serving in a number of roles before becoming the Dean of Students in January of 2015. Previous roles included work in wellness, mental health and health promotion and Co-Interim Vice President from 2021 to 2022. Lynn became a licensed mental health counselor in 2018. Her Masters and Education Specialist degrees are both in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Florida. Prior to working at Stetson, Lynn additionally worked for National Kappa Delta Sorority.

Lynn serves on the President's Cabinety as the University's Chief Student Advocate and leads student care and support initiatives, including the HattersCare students of concern committee. Areas directly under Dean Schoenberg's oversight include:

Jennifer Merrell Certo joined the Stetson University family in 2005. Originally from Western New York, she was involved in higher education administrative roles at Niagara University, photography for various studios and documenting weddings on location at Niagara Falls.
