Primary Care

Stetson Health Service provides general medical care for all currently enrolled students and employees (and their dependents). There is currently a registered dietitian/physician assistant, a part-time medical doctor, a registered nurse, and a medical assistant available by appointment for non-critical short-term illnesses and injuries. Such illnesses include sore throats, upset stomachs, rash, allergies, urinary tract infections, cuts, sprains/strains, free confidential pregnancy testing, STD testing and birth control counseling. Stetson Health Service also has the ability to obtain laboratory specimens when necessary (e.g., blood, urine, cultures, etc.).

Students are required to provide Stetson Health Service with a completed Student Health History form and immunization form prior to arriving at the university. All discussions, examinations and treatment in Stetson Health Service are confidential. A student's written permission must be obtained before any information may be given to anyone not directly connected with his/her care.
