Stetson Trombone Day

April 11, 2026

On behalf of the School of Music at Stetson University, we welcome you to our 3rd annual Trombone Day. Stetson is committed to developing and supporting the highest standards in music education and performance.

We invite intermediate to advanced middle and high school students to join us for Trombone Day on Saturday, April 11, to explore our beautiful campus, make new friends and grow as a trombonist and overall musician. In this day-long event, you will have the opportunity to participate in a group warm-up session, observe a masterclass, rehearse in a mass trombone choir setting and be featured in the final performance of the day for parents and teachers to enjoy. Our guest artist for the event is Joseph Jefferson, Associate Professor of Jazz/Commercial Trombone and Director of Jazz Ensembles at St. Olaf College.

The first 50 participants to register for the event will be entered into a raffle to win a free Sshhmute practice mute.

Playground Music will also be on-site with trombones available for demonstration and products available for purchase.

Registration coming soon.
