Conducting Symposium
Experience a day of connection and musical advancement at the 2nd Annual Stetson University Conductors Symposium on September 26, 2026. This unique event brings together conductors of all experience levels to deepen their understanding of technique, repertoire, score study, rehearsal strategies, and more.
Designed as an exceptional opportunity for both professional and artistic growth, the symposium especially welcomes public school music educators. Participating conductors will have the chance to lead the Stetson University Symphonic Band during instructional sessions and receive personalized feedback and coaching from guest clinician Nicholas Enrico Williams and host clinician Chandler L. Wilson, with each conducting session being recorded.
Auditors are invited to engage fully in all aspects of the symposium, though they will not receive podium time.
The Stetson University Conductors Symposium is made possible in part through a partnership with JWPepper and Conn-Selmer.

Online registration for the symposium will open at 9:00 a.m. EST on July 15, 2026. You may choose to register as a Conductor ($150) or as a non-conducting Auditor ($50).
Conductor spots are limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Once all conductor positions are filled, additional applicants will be registered as participants and placed on a waiting list for conductor status. There is no cap on the number of auditors.
Each conductor will be scheduled for two 13-minute podium sessions with the Stetson University Symphonic Band. Regardless of registration type, all participants will be actively engaged in every aspect of the symposium, including conducting workshops, topic sessions, and panel discussions.
