Claims and Loss Reporting

University Property Claims

To report claims involving loss of or damage to University-owned property, complete the Property Damage Claim Form and submit the completed form to Risk Management along with a copy of the related Public Safety report. Please note that for all such claims, the applicable department will be responsible for the cost of the deductible or the cost of the loss or damage, whichever is lower.

General Liability Claims

To report claims involving injuries or damage to third parties (e.g., visitors) allegedly caused or contributed to by the University's negligence or fault, complete the Property Damage Claim Form. The completed Property Damage Claim Form must be submitted to Risk Management with a copy of the related law enforcement report or the Stetson Public Safety incident report.

Automobile Claims

For information on reporting an injury or property damage as a result of an automobile accident involving a University vehicle, please visit the Vehicle and Driver Safety webpage. Please note that for all such claims, the applicable department will be responsible for the cost of the deductible or the cost of the loss or damage, whichever is lower.
