All graduates will be eligible to secure two guest tickets for their in-person ceremony. To accommodate the greatest number of possible attendees, guest seats will be assigned in pairs to allow for contact tracing and ensure physical distancing guidelines are followed. Please note that tickets are paired in seats of two. Guests will not be permitted to sit in single seats or move the chairs under any circumstances.

Updates regarding commencement tickets will be made to the commencement website, as well as by direct communication to participating graduates.

Graduate Check-In

Graduates will meet in the Hollis Center, Rinker Fieldhouse one hour prior to their ceremony. In preparation for the processional, graduates will be placed in alphabetical order by the degree they are receiving. All personal belongings must accompany graduates to the ceremony, so it is suggested to limit the number of items.

Faculty Participation

Faculty play an important role in the success of the commencement ceremony. It permits the community to recognize those who have contributed so greatly to the academic development and achievements of our graduates. All faculty are invited and encouraged to participate. Participating faculty are asked to arrive in regalia one hour prior to the start of the ceremony in which they are participating.

To ensure proper physical distance requirements, graduates, faculty and guests will be seated 6 feet apart. Faculty interested in participating will need to submit a formal reservation for attendance through the Faculty Participation Form. The final ceremony schedule and arrival details will be announced following feedback from our graduates.

The deadline to submit the Faculty Participation Form is Friday, Nov. 6. Faculty who do not submit a reservation via the online form will be considered “unable to attend.”

Ceremony Processional

Graduates and faculty will line up outside the Hollis Center to begin their procession. As the procession arrives at the Stetson Green, graduates and faculty will be seated in front of guests. Graduates will be announced on stage in alphabetical order for the degree they are receiving regardless of their attendance in person.

Friends and Family

All guest seats will be located behind the graduates on Stetson Green. Guest seats will be assigned in pairs to allow for contact tracing and ensure physical distancing guidelines are followed. Please note that tickets are paired in seats of two. Guests will not be permitted to sit in single seats or move the chairs under any circumstances.
