Stetson Guitar Workshop 2025
The Stetson University School of Music will host the Stetson Guitar Workshop, a community guitar workshop featuring internationally famed guitarist Kim Perlak, Chair of Guitar at Berklee College of Music and Stetson University faculty member Orlando Roman. Join us for a hands-on workshop tailored for the local community of guitar teachers and students. Together, we will delve into the rich tapestry of guitar pedagogy, examining its past, present, and future. This interactive session offers an opportunity to reflect on the historical developments in teaching methods, explore current trends, and envision the future of guitar education. Engage in discussions, share insights, and participate in practical activities to enhance your understanding of guitar pedagogy. Let's celebrate the art of teaching and learning the guitar!
The workshop takes place on Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. in Tinsley, Room 132, of Presser Hall on Stetson’s historic DeLand campus.
This event is free and open to the public. Participants need to register online and must bring their own instruments.
