Career and Professional Development

  • Location: Welcome Center
  • Contents:
    • Information about work tasks, education, and salary for various professions
    • Files on graduate schools with catalogs and application information
    • Access to members of the Career Alumni Network (with whom students can discuss health care issues)
    • Videotapes on health professions and professional schools
    • Computer programs which help students with occupational decisions
    • Information on writing a good essay and on interviewing techniques

In addition to the sources listed above you may find selected materials in the library, University Bookstore, Continuing Education and Outreach, and the Counseling and Testing Center. Also, most professions have national organizations from which you can request information.
