MedEx

Stetson has a student-run organization called MedEx (short for medical experience) which provides our pre-health students with medically-related volunteer experiences. These experiences include:

  • volunteering at the local hospital
  • conducting blood pressure clinics at a local retirement center
  • visiting the pediatric ward of a hospital during holidays
  • spending a weekend as a counselor at a camp for ill or handicapped children and their families

Also, during the summers of 2007 and 2009, several MedEx members assisted a medical mission in Honduras! (2007 group shown in photo below).

MedEx meetings generally alternate with AMSA meetings every other week during each semester. Look for signs around Sage Hall for meeting announcements.
