First-Year $uccess Program
Welcome to the Stetson First-Year $uccess Program: a pilot program designed to reward students for establishing and maintaining a strong foundation of successful behaviors that promote academic excellence, social connection, and personal development and will help support them through graduation. Students who may need some additional support to thrive at Stetson are invited to participate in this program during their first year of enrollment at the university and have the opportunity to earn up to an additional $4,000 scholarship for their sophomore through senior years.
Scholarship Eligibility Requirements:
- Earn a 3.00 or higher cumulative GPA after the spring semester
- Have 6 or more Cultural Credits after the spring semester
- Complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) by the priority deadline for returning students
Completing all three of the above requirements will earn you a $3,000 scholarship for your sophomore, junior, and senior years, renewable by maintaining a 3.00 cumulative GPA.
Additionally, you can increase your scholarship up to $1,000 more (for a total of up to $4,000) by completing various success-promoting activities throughout your first-year and logging them in the First-Year $uccess Program Portal. These activities range from attending a tutoring session to joining a student club or organization, to uploading your resume to LinkedIn.
