Risk Management is the process of minimizing the adverse effects of accidental losses by identifying and analyzing loss exposures and utilizing the appropriate hazard and loss control methods to reduce the frequency and severity of possible losses.
The goal of Risk Management is to support the university's educational purpose, mission and goals by taking a proactive approach in addressing loss exposures in order to provide a safe environment for our students, faculty and staff, and to assist in the protection of the university from losses that could impede its mission, financial stability and growth.
The risk management office is located in the Facilities Management building on the corner of East Minnesota and Garfield Avenues.
