Showcase: Vincenzo Cornacchione

Exploring Perceptions of Healthcare Access Among Rural Honduran Community Members

Vincenzo Cornacchione, a public health major and a lifelong learner from Venezuela and Spain, has volunteered for many years on short-term medical relief experiences in Central America, called "brigades." The work is with the nonprofit organization Global Brigades. Vincenzo collaborated with Global Brigades on his senior research project under the supervision of research mentor Rachel Core, PhD, assistant professor of sociology.

Vincenzo's post-graduation plans include finding the right Master of Public Health program to continue his education and eventually joining academia as a researcher and faculty member. Also, of course, he plans to keep "learning as a citizen of this globalized world."
