Become Student Intern and Tutor
We are seeking highly motivated, dependable and committed undergraduate students to help us with community outreach, promotional materials, event planning, social media, volunteer recruitment, research, day-to-day operation of CEP and tutoring of CEP students. Students who have been impacted by incarceration in any way or have experience working with incarcerated people are strongly encouraged to apply, as well as those who have interest in issues related to mass incarceration, education and social justice. This unpaid internship opportunity is available for undergraduate students during fall, spring and summer semesters. Available positions are usually advertised toward the end of each semester.

In 2019, Alliance selected the CEP for the Higher Education in Prison Cohort Program, and awarded a two-year grant for development of academic resources to support CEP students and their education.
Nina B. Hollis Institute for Educational Reform
CEP was awarded the Nina B. Hollis Research Impact Award for the academic years of 2017-2018 and 2018-2019.
