Career Outcomes
Earning a degree in Communication and Media Studies opens doors to careers in advertising, marketing, public relations, communication education, consulting, editing, publishing, journalism, broadcasting, event planning, health communication, intercultural communication, new media, organizational communication, performing arts, political communication, public administration, sales and speech writing and coaching.
Employment in media and communication is projected to grow 14% through 2030, adding about 151,500 new jobs. This demand arises from the need to create, edit, translate and disseminate information across various platforms. In May 2021, the median annual wage for media and communication workers was $62,340, higher than the overall median of $45,760. Media and communication equipment workers earned a median wage of $48,920.

At Stetson, you'll engage in discussion-rich classes, interdisciplinary courses, internships and field experiences.
