Public Interest Job Search Timeline
The following timeline provides a recommended roadmap for navigating your public interest job search throughout law school. It outlines key milestones, suggested activities, and important deadlines to help you maximize your opportunities and prepare effectively for summer internships, fellowships, and postgraduate positions in the public sector.
Keep in mind that each student's path is unique. Your path may vary based on your specific interests, experiences, and career goals. Use this timeline as a flexible guide (not a checklist) and adapt it to fit your needs and priorities.
Throughout your law school career, OCPD is available to help you tailor your strategy, provide resources, and offer personalized advice. Use this timeline alongside individual advising to chart the best course for your public interest career goals.
