Research is a fundamental aspect of the center's role in serving as a catalyst to help members of family enterprises understand, manage, protect and grow their resources. Faculty members conduct and participate in research initiatives with the goal of advancing our understanding of family enterprises on a global scale.

The Family Enterprise Center participates in the Successful Transgenerational Entrepreneurship Practices (STEP) project and the Global University Entrepreneurial Spirit Student's Survey (GUESSS).
