Omicron Delta Epsilon

Omicron Delta Epsilon, the international honor society in economics, is the oldest and most prestigious economics honorary for undergraduate economics students. The Xi Chapter of Florida was established at Stetson University in October 1993. The organization recognizes outstanding achievements in the study of economics by Stetson University's undergraduate students.

Omicron Delta Epsilon honors students that have demonstrated a firm grasp of economics and have enjoyed success academically. It is therefore no surprise that some of its members work in the economics lab. ODE members can thus share their knowledge with other students while gaining valuable teaching experience.

Our members are also encouraged to join the American Economic Association, a national organization of economists dedicated to promoting economic research and discussion. Our students' membership represents their commitment to promoting the discipline on a national as well as local level.

Membership Requirements

In order to be eligible for membership, students must have completed at least 12 hours of economics. Students must also have a B average in all classes and a B average in all economics courses. Though most members of Stetson University's ODE chapter are economics majors or minors, this is not a requirement for membership.

If you are not on the ODE mailing list let us know, and we will give you a complete list of meeting dates.
