Recipients

Rajni Shankar-Brown, PhD
Professor and Jessie Ball duPont Endowed Chair of Social Justice Education

Shankar-Brown is the most genuine and supportive teacher I have ever had. She is always checking in and asking what we need and how she can help. This semester is extremely busy and stressful as an education major and going to her class is like a breath of fresh air. She pushes us in our academics while putting mental health as the first priority.

Michele Skelton, PhD
Associate Professor of Health Science

"Professor Skelton has been incredibly helpful over the past year as my new advisor. She has been supportive in my grad school application process to physical therapy schools and has been a fantastic mentor throughout my senior research process. Her support, guidance, and feedback have helped me better understand and appreciate my academic accomplishments and abilities and I am so grateful. In addition to the immense help she has been to me, I know she has also taken on many other advisees who were in the same situation as myself and has done her best to support them as well as all the other students that she was already advising."
