The 2026 General Election is Tuesday, November 3. Florida’s voter registration deadline is Monday, October 5, so make sure you are registered and your information is current.

Choose Where You Will Vote

As a college student, you may register using either your permanent home address or your current campus address, provided you meet the applicable residency requirements. You can be registered in only one location.

We encourage eligible students living on campus to consider registering with their campus address. You will be able to vote locally, your assigned Election Day polling location is less than a mile away, and you will have opportunities to meet candidates and learn about issues affecting the community where you spend much of the year.

Voting Using Your Home Address?

If you register at your permanent home address and will not be there to vote, you may need to request a vote-by-mail or absentee ballot. Florida voters must request that a vote-by-mail ballot be mailed by 5 p.m. on Thursday, October 22. Deadlines and requirements differ in other states, so make your plan early.
