Stetson Votes
As a values-driven institution that emphasizes the importance of engaged and informed citizenship, Stetson University strives to develop the habits of citizenship that will last our students' entire lives.
Stetson Votes is a nonpartisan, student-led voter registration organization whose mission is to ensure that all eligible Stetson students are registered and ready to vote.
One of the most important - and most fundamental - aspects of being an engaged citizen is participation in our democracy through voting! In order to vote in elections, here are the three things you need to do:
Upcoming Stetson Votes Events
Join us for voter registration and education events all semester long!
Vote Early Day
Wednesday, October 7, 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in Front of the CUB
Cultural Credit
Beat the Election Day rush! We’ll be providing information on early voting and offering rides to the polls so you can cast your ballot with ease.
Stroll to the Polls
Friday, October 30, 2:00 p.m. at Brockway Plaza
Cultural Credit
Get moving and get voting! We are partnering with Athletics, Greek Life, and Wellness and Recreation for a Stroll to the Polls. Join your fellow Hatters as we take a healthy, community-focused walk to our nearest early voting location at the Sanborn Center. The walk will take roughly 30 minutes each way so please wear comfortable shoes. Wear your letters, team or club swag, or Stetson gear, and feel free to bring a sign supporting democracy, voting, or a social cause that matters to you. Free boba tea offered for the first 100 attendees – whether you can join us to vote or not.
Party at the Polls
Tuesday, November 3, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Brockway Plaza
Cultural Credit
It's Election Day! If you haven't cast your ballot yet, today is the day. Stetson Votes will be providing rides to the polls all day to ensure every student has reliable transportation to cast their vote. We'll keep the party going all day with an "I Voted" photo booth, music, and food offerings! At breakfast, we'll have donuts so you DO-NOT forget to vote. Stop by at lunch to try pizza from several local restaurants and vote on your favorite, and at dinner, vote on your favorite wing flavor from Wing Stop!
