Ethnobotany is the study of the practical uses of plants within a particular region or culture, focusing on traditional knowledge and customs regarding medicinal, religious, and other applications. This new virtual exhibit, based on our weekly Ethnobotany student-created social media posts from spring 2021, introduces you to fourteen common plants of Florida and some of the historic interrelations between these species and past and present Floridians.
