She is particularly interested in the experiences of international and racialized students navigating U.S. education. Her scholarship bridges qualitative inquiry, teacher education, and applied linguistics, centering student agency and educational equity.
I bring over a decade of experience working in community-based language education, mentoring pre-service and in-service teachers in both local and international contexts. My approach centers on integrating critical perspectives on language, culture, and identity, encouraging future educators to examine literacy through a lens of equity and social justice. In my courses, students engage with texts, communities, and pedagogical tools that challenge dominant narratives and foster transformative learning experiences.
