Biography
Meghan Berindean is a dynamic cellist and passionate educator. Known for her rich tone and expressive artistry, she maintains an active career as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral performer. She has served as Principal Cello with ensembles including the Gateway Chamber Orchestra, Nashville Ballet, Nashville Opera, and the Paducah Symphony Orchestra, and has performed with Intersection, the Iris Collective, and the Owensboro Symphony.
A committed chamber musician and recitalist, Berindean has performed extensively throughout the Midwest and Southeastern United States, as well as in Canada, Austria, and Spain. Formerly on the faculties of Austin Peay State University and the University of West Florida, she also teaches at the Sewanee Summer Music Festival. She holds a DM in Cello Performance from Florida State University, an MM from the Cleveland Institute of Music, and a BM and Performance Certificate from Penn State University.
