Matthew Imes
Assistant Professor of Finance, Director of Roland George Investments Program
Matthew Imes joined the faculty of Stetson University in the Fall of 2019 and currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Finance and Director of the Roland George Investments Program. He holds a PhD in Finance from Temple University, a Master of Science in Finance from the University of Maryland, and a Bachelor of Science in Business with concentrations in Financial Economics and Management from Anderson University. Additionally, Matthew is a CFA Charterholder.

Biography
At Stetson, Matthew teaches a variety of courses, including Financial Management, Investments, and Derivatives and Risk Management at the undergraduate level, and Foundations of Accounting and Finance, Advanced Financial Management, and Advanced Investments at the graduate level.
His research interests span empirical finance, corporate governance, and empirical asset pricing. With nine publications to his credit, Matthew's work has appeared in prestigious journals such as the Journal of Empirical Finance, Management International Review, Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting, and The Journal of Entrepreneurial Finance. He has also presented at notable academic conferences including the Southern Finance Association, Eastern Finance Association, Southwestern Finance Association, American Real Estate Society, and the Academy of International Business.
Outside of academia, Matthew lives in DeLand, Florida, with his family. He enjoys running, backpacking, reading, and traveling.
