Stetson University's Pre-Law program is a comprehensive advising track with over a century of experience steering undergraduates toward law school and legal careers. You choose any major while building the analytical, reflective, and communication skills law school admissions officers value. This preparation aims for your successful admission to top national law schools, including our own College of Law, one of the most recognized law schools in the country for trial advocacy.

First-year students have the opportunity to join the LAW READY Living and Learning Community.  A unique residential program where you live with other pre-law students and receive targeted advising and mentorship from day one.

While you pursue your major, build your legal skills and CV by joining our Mock Trial and Moot Court teams. Network and collaborate by joining Stetson’s chapter of Phi Alpha Delta.

Meet the Pre-Law Advisory Committee

Our Pre-Law Advisory Committee takes an active role in helping Stetson students prepare for a law career. Members of the committee will advise you in course selection, inform you about the many law and graduate schools available, assist in setting up internships, help you prepare for the LSAT and advise you on application procedures.

LAW READY is a unique residential program designed to help first-year students explore the legal world from day one. You live with other pre-law students in a wing of Stetson’s beautiful new Lynn Residence Hall. Take courses with your cohort and receive targeted advising and mentorship.

No specific major is required. Law schools value analytical and communication skills, which any well-chosen major can develop.
