U.S. News & World Report, The Princeton Review and Money are some of the national publications that track and rank aspects of Stetson University. The methodologies and focus of the rankings differ, and much more information about the specifics of each is available on their websites.
Most surveys of students and parents indicate many, if not most, are aware of a college's rankings but still make their decisions on the intangibles that matter: standout academic programs, challenging learning experiences, career development, intimate faculty to student mentoring that leads to professional preparation and a sense of place and community.
Stetson University ranks No. 5 in Best Regional Universities
Stetson University ranks No. 5 on U.S. News & World Report’s 2019 list of Best Regional Universities (South).

Stetson emphasizes active learning with a low undergraduate student/teacher ratio of 13:1. Sixty percent of classes have fewer than 20 students, and no classes have 50 or more students. Half of the first-year students finished in the top quarter of their high school graduating class.
U.S. News & World Report ranks Stetson University a "Best for Vets"
US News & World Report's 2019 Ranking lists Stetson University as No. 3 on the list of Best for Veterans Regional Universities (South). There are 165 schools in this category.
Schools in the Regional Universities category are defined by U.S. News & World Report as offering a full range of undergraduate programs and some master’s programs but few doctoral programs.
Stetson University offers services and benefits for U.S. military veterans in the areas of tutorial assistance, and educational and vocational counseling and the College of Law in Gulfport is home to the Veteran's Law Clinic and Veteran's Advocacy Clinic.

The recent rankings released by U.S. News & World Report includes Stetson on its lists of (rank): Best Undergraduate Teaching Regional Universities (South) and Best Value Schools Regional Universities (South).
The Princeton Review Names Stetson University One of The Best 384 Colleges
Stetson University has been recognized as one of the leading undergraduate institutions in the nation by The Princeton Review for the fourth straight year. This honor, given to only about 15 percent of America’s four-year colleges, appears in the 2019 edition of “The Best 384 Colleges.”
Published annually since the 90's, “The Best 384 Colleges” contains detailed profiles of each college which includes excerpts from student surveys and rating scores in eight categories including Academics, Admissions Selectivity and Financial Aid, among others.
U.S. News & World Report ranks Stetson University College of Law #1 in Trial Advocacy
Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport, Florida, is again ranked the number one law school for Trial Advocacy by U.S. News and World Report and this is the twentieth time it has held that position in the past 24 years. Effective advocacy is one of a successful lawyer's most important skills, and Stetson's commitment to teaching advocacy is unmatched. Stetson Law's Center for Excellence in Advocacy is under the direction of Charles H. Rose, III, Professor of Excellence in Trial Advocacy and director of the Center for Excellence in Advocacy at Stetson, who says Stetson empowers students to advocate, speaking truth to power on behalf of clients whenever and wherever they are called to do so.
Stetson Law Ranks #2 in Nation for Legal Writing
Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport is No. 2 for Legal Writing in the United States, according to U.S. News & World Report.
Stetson Law has consistently been named among the top six legal writing programs since the inception of the Legal Writing rankings and is supported by the Institute for the Advancement of Legal Communication. Stetson’s Institute for the Advancement of Legal Communication is a home for the study of the legal communication issues that face lawyers, judges, other professionals and the public. It supports an active community of legal communication and writing scholars.
Stetson University's College of Law has also been recognized by U.S. News & World Report for its Part-Time (PT) program.

According to Time's MONEY magazine, Stetson University ranks as one of the best colleges for your money. This is part of the magazine's review of 2,400 public and private colleges.
A Beautiful Campus
Stetson University has been recognized for its outstanding leadership in reducing energy and water consumption, and for LEED certified buildings, while growing its total undergraduate student body, and it has always taken a great deal of pride in its preservation of the historic DeLand and Gulfport campuses.
Recently, Country Living, included Stetson in its list of the "25 of the Most Beautiful College Campuses in the South."
