Counselor Education and Teacher Education
The university's counselor education and teacher education programs are accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (C.A.E.P.).
The teacher education program has aligned its programs to meet the state of Florida's Subject Area Competencies as well as the Florida Educators' Accomplished Practices (F.E.A.P.). Students majoring or minoring in teacher education are required to plan curriculum and instruction so that their P-12 students will meet the Sunshine State Standards. Students must also meet the English for Speakers of Other Languages (E.S.O.L.) Performance Standards as required by the State of Florida.
