Phi Alpha Theta
Phi Alpha Theta is the national History honor society for undergraduate and graduate students. Students who have a 3.5 GPA and have taken a minimum of 5 history classes are eligible to join the Alpha Zeta chapter at Stetson. Our chapter takes part in national and regional Phi Alpha Theta conferences across the country. They also host various mixers and field trips for all students in the department
Please contact chapter supervisor Jacob Walters ([email protected]) for more information.
Students participated in several department-hosted mixers, study sessions, and student support events. Five students from the History Honor Society, Phi Alpha Theta (PAT), earned Dean’s Funding to present at the Biennial Conference in Washington DC in January of 2025. These students had the chance to network with history students and scholars from across the country while also exploring the Capitol.
PAT inducted six new members in Spring 2025 and four new members in 2026. We are excited to see this organization continue to grow in numbers as new students join. The organization also hosts events such as game nights to encourage students throughout campus to get involved in PAT.
