Breakiron-Evans/Brockway Awards for Student/Faculty Collaboration

The Office of the Provost & Academic Affairs and the Undergraduate Research Committee are pleased to announce student/faculty collaborative grant awards to facilitate partnerships between faculty and students around inquiry, ideas, and activities of mutual interest. Support is intended to boost student and faculty participation in the experimentation and exploration of new and innovative ideas and activities. Grants will support joint research, conference presentations, experiential learning opportunities, community engagement activities, and currently unfunded competitions.

Student/Faculty Collaborative Learning Grants (CLG's) offer scope to support more diverse activities that “disrespect boundaries” by expanding engagement beyond the typical mentored research and creative endeavors. Two types of grants are available:

  • Planning Grants provide a budgetary allowance for planning and exploration of ideas to seed and prepare for more substantial project funding.
  • Implementation Grants support the implementation of projects and activities.

Funding is provided by the generous support of Maureen Breakiron-Evans and Susan Brockway, Stetson University Trustees and longstanding advocates of academic excellence.
