Stetson Outdoor Adventure Recreation (SOAR)

Stetson Outdoor Adventure Recreation (SOAR) offers a variety of programs, events and trips throughout the year designed to provide students with safe and meaningful outdoor opportunities that will enhance their college experience.

February 14th "Canoe with Your Boo" Blue Springs State Park $10/person
March 2nd - 6th Spring Break Trip Cumberland Island, GA $125/person
March 14th Hike Ocala Meet-Up Ocala National Forest $5/person
March 28th - 29th Hontoon Island Camping Hontoon Island $25/person
April 11th Indoor Rock Climbing Aiguille Rock Climbing Gym $10/person
April 18th Learn to Surf Dayton Beach $10/person

Adventure Education

Adventure education is experiential learning that engages the learner physically, emotionally and mentally. It encourages exploration, appropriate risk-taking and play. Unknown and unpredictable outcomes foster a sense of adventure, fun, laughter and learning! These events must be approved at least two weeks before the requested training date(s).
