Federal Student Loan Changes
The One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA) took effect July 1, 2026, and changed federal student loans. For new borrowers, Grad PLUS loans are no longer available and Parent PLUS loans now have annual and lifetime limits. Undergraduate loan limits did not change.
