How to Contact Us

NOTE FOR 2020-21:

WORLD is ready to assist you with any questions you have about study abroad, international student and scholar services, and campus internationalization efforts. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, WORLD will be conducting meetings virtually whenever possible. You can email to set up an appointment.

If an in-person meeting is absolutely required, WORLD is available by appointment. To set up an in-person meeting, please email either or the person you need to meet with directly. During an in-person meeting, please be sure to wear a mask and observe social distancing. We will try to keep meetings short to reduce risk of exposure to COVID-19. Weather permitting, we may ask that longer meetings take place outside.


WORLD: The David and Leighan Rinker Center for International Learning is open Monday through Friday between 8:00 A.M and 4:30 P.M. and is located on Bert Fish Drive, in the row of houses across from the pool and Rinker parking lot.

Paula Hentz

Director of International Learning

As the director, Paula serves as senior international officer for the DeLand campus and principal advisor on comprehensive campus internationalization. She provides leadership of WORLD: The David and Leighan Rinker Center for International Learning and campus internationalization initiatives. She facilitates strategic global partnerships and provides administrative oversight of the international student exchange and study abroad programs, international faculty exchange and faculty development, and the international learning scholarship program.

Paula is originally from Wisconsin and earned her bachelor's degree in African American studies and history from the University of Wisconsin- Madison, and her master's degree in counseling and personnel services (focusing on college student personnel) from the University of Maryland- College Park. During her time at UW- Madison, she spent an academic year studying abroad at the University of Warwick in England, and following her graduation, spent a year teaching English in South Korea. Her interests include traveling, reading, and watching movies. She has been a member of the WORLD team since July 2012.

Roxanne Lewis

Roxanne comes to WORLD: The David and Leighan Rinker Center for International Learning from Stetson University's Student Success Center, where she was a student success specialist. She has 15 years of experience in student success, having worked in grant-funded education programs through the U.S. Department of Education. She has extensive experience working with diverse populations of students.

Prior to coming to Stetson University, she served as education coordinator at Daytona State College for the TRiO Student Support Services program and as director of the TRiO Upward Bound program at the University of Massachusetts - Dartmouth. Roxanne holds a master's degree in professional writing from the University of Massachusetts. She has a passion for helping students discover and obtain their individual success and significance. Her interests include hiking, gardening, kayaking and camping.

As the program coordinator at WORLD: The David and Leighan Rinker Center for International Learning, Viggiano supports the development, planning, and implementation of faculty-led study abroad programs, supervises the WORLD Student Ambassadors and works closely with various departments on campus to increase awareness and participation in global learning initiatives including Peace Corps Prep. 

Wendy Viggiano studied abroad in Florence, Italy and has traveled to many countries through her work in the field. She holds a MS in higher postsecondary education and a BS in communication and rhetorical studies, both from Syracuse University.  Her interests include spending time with her 2 children and husband, gardening, theater, and cooking.
