I graduated with my Doctorate in Counselor from the University of North Texas in 2022. I specialize in Animal Assisted Therapy and have a wide range of experience in the field including Equine Assisted Therapy, Canine Assisted Therapy, and therapy with small animals. I am originally from New Jersey and have been in Florida since 2022. I enjoy fishing, golfing, and hanging with my dogs.

Biography

I specialize in Animal-Assisted Therapy and have studied and utilized animal-assisted interventions in counseling, supervision, and counselor education for more than seven years. My professional experience includes providing clinical services in outpatient behavioral health settings, working with individuals experiencing mental health and substance use concerns, and integrating evidence-based and experiential approaches to support client growth and wellness.

As the Clinical Coordinator and Professor of Practice for the Counselor Education Program at Stetson University, I oversee the clinical training experiences of counseling students and serve as the primary liaison between students, site supervisors, and community partners. In addition to coordinating practicum and internship experiences, I serve as the Clinical Coordinator for the HRSA Behavioral Health Workforce Education and Training (BHWET) Grant, supporting initiatives that strengthen the behavioral health workforce through community collaboration, student development, and clinical training opportunities. My professional interests include clinical supervision, counselor development, accreditation and program quality improvement, and the advancement of experiential approaches such as Animal-Assisted Therapy. I maintain active engagement in the counseling profession through professional organizations, accreditation activities, and ongoing service to the preparation of future counselors. I am committed to supporting students as they develop their professional identity and navigate the rewarding journey from the classroom to clinical practice.
