Alexander Nichols

Alexander Nichols serves as the Associate Director of Community Engagement and Bonner Program Director, where he provides strategic leadership for the Center for Community Engagement and the Bonner Program. In this role, he advances community-engaged learning, cultivates student leadership, and strengthens university-community partnerships that promote student learning through community impact. He is passionate about helping students connect community needs with their academic interests and career aspirations, empowering them to discover their unique "sweet spot" where purpose, learning, and service intersect.
Alexander earned a Ph.D. in Higher Education and Student Affairs from The Ohio State University, an M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration from Vanderbilt University, and an A.B. in Africana Studies from Davidson College. His scholarship includes peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters examining graduate student socialization and the assessment of scholarly impact. He has presented his research and practice at national conferences, including the Association for the Study of Higher Education and the American Association of Colleges and Universities, with presentations focused on college student retention, service-learning, and student-faculty interactions.

José Reyes serves as the Assistant Director of Bonner Programs. He is passionate about empowering students to lead meaningful change through the Bonner Program. With over six years in the Bonner Network, he works closely with students to support their community initiatives, foster social justice, and create lasting impact. Jose is committed to building strong, sustainable partnerships between students, community organizations, and the institution, helping every student realize their potential and make a difference in their communities.
Joshua Alexander

Joshua is currently pursuing a M.S. in Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling while serving as the Graduate Assistant for Marketing and Communications. In his role, Joshua ensures that our signature programs and initiatives are successfully marketed to all our stakeholders, and that the stories of our work will be told compellingly to prospective students, prospective partners, and prospective donors. Joshua is also passionate about football, anime, and his relationship with God. T.
