Veterans Day

Now known as Veterans Day, November 11th was originally Armistice Day in the United States which celebrated the ceasefire between the Allied nations and Germany at the 11th hour on the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918. Today, Veterans Day serves as a time to celebrate all military veterans in the United States. Stetson University College of Law thanks all military veterans for their service.

Stetson Law has a network of students, staff, and faculty committed to serving veterans on our campus and within the local community. Stetson Law’s commitment to veterans is exemplified by our Veteran Law Institute (VLI). The VLI improves veterans’ circumstances in Tampa Bay and the national community through training and outreach, policy reform, advocacy for veterans with disabilities, and support of Stetson University College of Law students’ well-being and education. The dedicated students, faculty, and staff of the VLI honor veterans' service each day with the work they do. Members of the Student Veterans Organization demonstrate their dedication to veterans and veterans law through their advocacy and community outreach.
