Working Groups

As part of the Campus Climate Survey planning this past fall the Diversity and Inclusion Leadership Group organized an online process for submission of suggestions on areas of focus for Stetson University based on outcomes and data from the survey. The leadership group and the president addressed the suggestions and formed three working groups to tackle umbrella issues impacting Stetson. One special group was organized around the town/gown relationship between the university and the City of DeLand.

The three working groups are:

Stetson Culture

Charge

The climate results identified areas of ongoing need for inclusion and equity including race, gender, political ideologies, and other dynamics. This working group will begin their process by studying information on the development of organizational culture, the impact of race, gender and other dynamics on culture, and data (survey results, narratives, and other sources) reflecting the personal and professional experiences of students, faculty, and staff at Stetson. They will discuss the potential relationship of these data with climate survey results in order to formulate a working definition of Stetson culture, identify points needing the attention of the community and administration, and offer prioritization as to next action items.
