Army ROTC

Army ROTC prepares you to lead as a commissioned Army Officer while you earn your degree at Stetson in any major. You’ll hone your physical fitness and leadership skills, and have opportunities for mentorship and real-world experience.  Army ROTC offers the full college experience, paid tuition, and immediate employment upon graduation in the Active Duty Army, Army Reserve, or National Guard.

Career Outcomes

Joining the Army ROTC Program and completing the course means committing several years of service in the Active Duty Army, Army Reserve, or Army National Guard. You may choose to serve in several different branches of the Army, ranging from Combat Arms Branches to Logistics and Combat Support Branches. After your service in the Active Duty Army or choosing to serve in the Reserve or Guard, the skills you learned can be used in numerous different careers in the Civilian Sector.

Meet the Faculty

Army ROTC is led and instructed by several Active Duty members of the U.S. Army with decades of experience ranging from Aviation, Logistics, and beyond. These cadre instruct and mentor cadets in leadership, professionalism, tactics, and more throughout their time in Army ROTC.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Stetson students can participate through co-enrollment with the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University ROTC battalion.

Yes. Army ROTC is open to students of any major at Stetson.

 Army ROTC cadets will have several obligations as part of the program:

  • Attend Physical Training three days a week (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday)
  • Attend weekly Leadership Labs
  • Attend weekly Military Science Classes (Count as regular elective classes with credits)
  • Maintain at least a 2.0 GPA

Cadet Summer Training

  • Every summer, the Junior Classes of every Army ROTC in the nation are sent to Fort Knox, KY, to be assessed on their Individual Soldier Skills and Leadership Ability

Commitment varies by branch and active/reserve status, typically 2 to 8 years.
