Smart Traveler Enrollment Program

Note: The Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) is a free service provided by the U.S. Government to U.S. citizens who are traveling to, or living in, a foreign country. STEP allows you to enter information about your upcoming trip abroad so that the Department of State can better assist you in an emergency. STEP also allows Americans residing abroad to get routine information from the nearest U.S. embassy or consulate.

Passports

Passports are required for travel to countries outside the United States and are the responsibility of each participant. Information and forms are available at your local U.S. courthouse or at https://www.usa.gov/passport.

Visas

You will need a student visa for your time spent in Australia as a student. You are eligible for streamlined visa processing because you will receive a Confirmation of Enrollment document from Victoria University. For more information about streamlined student visa processing, please see http://www.immi.gov.au.
